Conference 2015 - Auckland University of Technology - 25 - 27 November

Abstracts

The deadline for abstracts is now closed.

Abstracts are invited for 1) parallel sessions, and 2) posters. As well as parallel sessions and the poster session, the other type of session is known as, 3) host groups. Every delegate is automatically assigned to a host group and you do not have to submit an abstract for this.

1. Abstracts for Parallel Sessions
The TERNZ conference accepts proposals from researchers interested in any aspect of the study of higher education. Each session is 50 minutes, and will typically involve no more than 10 minutes for the researcher to present their work and 40 minutes in which to discuss the substantive issues that arise from it.The timings above are indicative only so please feel free to be creative in how you run your session. However, it is important to say that we wish to avoid the paper presentations typical of many conferences [See Philosophy]. Please think of this as a developmental exercise in which both the researcher and the participants are there to build new ideas and advance understanding.

All abstracts will be peer reviewed. Please use the following template to submit your abstract, it should be no more than 750 words.

3. Host groups
You will be automatically assigned to a host group for the conference and these small groups meet at regular intervals throughout. The purpose of the group is to provide a space to talk, meet other delegates, and extend the conversations from the parallel sessions. Discussions in the groups are guided by a facilitator, and the sessions are intended to be informal and enjoyable.
