Delegates are requested to make their own accommodation arrangements.

We have arranged accommodation in the University's new residence, Te Puni Village for those who wish to stay on campus. En suite rooms are priced at $109 per person per night (for 23rd/24th Nov) and Standard rooms are $69 per person per night (for 23rd/24th Nov). Both rates include cooked breakfast and are inclusive of GST. All rooms have a single bed with fitted sheet and pillow, wardrobe, desk, chair, heating and internet connection available along with magnificent views of Wellington. All linen, towels and soap will be provided in each of the rooms.

Accommodation can be booked through your university travel agent, there is an agreement between the Universities of New Zealand by which hotels offer the cheapest available price.

The James Cook Grand Chancellor Hotel – 147 The Terrace, Wellington ($185pn) A 10 minute (uphill) walk to the conference venue.

Quest Atrium – 154 The Terrace, Wellington. ($135 pn for a studio) 10 min walk (uphill) to the conference venue (about the closest and possibly the cheapest). They also have 2 bedroom apartments for $250pn.

Ibis Hotel - 153 Featherston Street, Wellington. ($140 pn). 15 min walk (some uphill) to the conference venue

Mercure Wellington – 345 The Terrace, Wellington ($150pn) 10 min walk (uphill) to the conference venue – a bit old now but it does have an indoor pool!

Travelodge Wellington – 2-6 Gilmer Terrace, Wellington ($180pn) 10min walk (uphill) to the conference venue

Novotel Wellington – 133-7 The Terrace, Wellington ($187pn) just down the road from the James Cook

James Cook CQ Quality Hotel – Cuba Street, Wellington ($199pn) 15 min (some uphill) walk to the conference venue (near to Wellington's night life – recently opened).

Getting to the Kelburn Campus. If you would prefer not to walk up the hill (it is not too bad really), the following buses run from downtown past the university:
17 (from the railway station),
18 & 47 (from Ghuznee Street – CQ Hotel),
22 & 23 (along Lambton Quay).
Taxis cost $12-15 depending on their use of the one-way systems.
