Abstract Review and Resubmissions Complete 1 November

Late submissions will be accepted at the discretion of the review committee. To enable a smooth review process and timely scheduling of sessions, submitters are urged to submit by the stated deadline.

Accepted abstracts (workshops, parallel sessions, showcases) will be published in the TERNZ conference proceedings.

1. Proposals for pre-conference workshops (afternoon of 25 November)

These will be 2 to 3 hours, and expressions of interest should be sent to the conference convenors by 21 August 2026. Please provide a summary for publication in the proceedings and supporting details explaining how the session will run and how it aligns with the TERNZ philosophy.

2. Submission of abstracts for parallel sessions (55 minutes)

The review criteria are aligned with the sections of the abstract submissions. All sections must be addressed and reflect the TERNZ philosophy. The reviewers are looking for evidence of participant involvement and relevance to their learning.

Submissions have to be made using the Parallel Session Abstract Form

Recommendations for inclusion in parallel sessions will be made by the review committee, and the final programme structure will be decided by the conference organising committee.

3. Submission of abstracts for showcase exhibition

The conference reception will include exhibition items such as research and teaching examples and posters. We would like to encourage anyone who has recently undertaken either research, teaching or practice using original or engaging approaches to submit their ideas for inclusion in the exhibition. Submissions can be in the form of a poster, a display or a technology-based showcase.

Presenters are strongly encouraged to reconceptualise their work creatively to incorporate a) active learning approaches and b) interactive engagement with the display and the presenter. The submissions will be displayed during the reception and subsequently in the social spaces where participants circulate.

There is no limit to the number of submissions in this category, but presenters must specify whether they require technical support or other resources. Participants will be asked to vote for their favourite poster/showcase, and the winning display will receive a prize.

Submissions have to be made using the Showcase Abstract Form
